Join the IRC Chat! Hey Everyone, I'm not a regular around here and I'm just looking for any advice available. Yesterday my dad approached me with the task of getting him a quality Bluetooth speaker (Bose SLIII) to work in tangent with out current wired setup.
I figured the best route would be to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter () and hook it up to the zone 2 line outs on our Onkyo TX-NR616. The transmitter comes with the red and white RCA Component Audio Cables but lo and behold, no sound is produced. The transmitter works 100%, I've tested it with multiple devices. The general setup I have is: Receiver ->Line Out Zone 2 RCA ->RCA to 3.5mm Converter (Supplied with Transmitter) ->Transmitter ->speaker. I'm not overly familiar with all the inner workings (settings) of our receiver and quite frankly don't understand most of them.
My dad would like them up and running before people come over tonight before new years. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Edit: Also, if you see any obvious reason why this won't work, please share.
