Sonic Encoders For Windows Media Center Edition 2005

Windows Media Center Edition Torrent

At the moment as a workaround i am using DVRMS Toolbox to convert the file to Mpeg2 which I then burn with Nero. I looked up my error message on Microsoft website and it says that it occurs when trying to burn a file from a region outside the one I am in, but that's rubbish as it's just a freeview recording, not some region protected DVD.

Then I read on another forum that other users have had this problem since they installed rollup 2. I have only just installed my MCE and went straight to rollup 2 so no idea if this is the problem on my PC. For now I am just going to keep an eye on the forums and see if anyone finds a fix. If the files had been on a remote drive then that would have explained the error message.

The only other reason I know if is that the files are tv shows recorded in the UK and, therefore, PAL but your computer thinks it is in America and they should ne NTSC. There are two places to check this. One is to go into the Control Panel and open the Regional and Language settings options. MAke sure your location is set to 'United Kingdom'.

The second option is in the BIOS. Go into setup during bootup and one of the options allows you to set the TV type. Make sure it is set to PAL and not to NTSC. If neither of these cures the problem then it has me beat! If the files had been on a remote drive then that would have explained the error message. This seems to be something of a complicated problem I have installed the sonicencoder software and all the right options appear on the menus withing MCE. But it still refuses to recognise the DVR-MS files and gives the unsupported file type message. I have checked the regional settings etc but it doesn't seems to make any difference.
